Christy Franck, Instructional Technology Integrator
Schools: Marshall Middle School & Franklin Elementary School
Email: cfranck@northallegheny.orgMission statement: I will explore new tools and strategies that will enhance teaching and learning; I will provide leadership, support, and professional development that will sustain the District’s use of technology for improved instruction, communication, and student achievement.
Biography: This is my 16th year of teaching in the North Allegheny School District and my fifth year as an Instructional Technology Integrator within the District. Before this role, I taught fourth grade at Ingomar Elementary for 11 years. I’m a proud graduate of Penn State with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (K-6), a certificate in Educational Technology Integration, and a Master’s degree in Instructional Systems-Educational Technology. I’m also certified in Middle School Mathematics (7-9), and I've earned 18 graduate-level credits beyond my master's degree. Being a lifelong learner is certainly a goal of mine!
My husband and I live in Adams Township with our three daughters: Ally (8), Mia (6), and Ava (4). Even though my family lives in Mars, I'm certainly not a stranger to this community. I grew up in McCandless Township and graduated from NA in 2000. I'm so fortunate to back in this District and to have the opportunity to instill a love for learning for each student! As an Instructional Technology Integrator, I will provide ongoing support to the teachers and students with select methods that have proved to be effective at building-level, department-wide, grade-level, and individual meetings.
