About CMS Band
Located just 12 miles North of downtown Pittsburgh, the North Allegheny School District is home to approximately 8,045 students in grades K-12. The district consists of twelve schools including seven elementary schools, three middle schools, an intermediate high school, and a senior high school. Carson Middle School serves a population of about 700 students. Currently, approximately 90% of the total school population participates in elective Band, Chorus, and Orchestra ensembles. At Carson Middle School, students achieve not only academic success, but have a tradition of excelling in the fine arts. Currently, 148 students in grades six through eight participate in the Concert Band, Jazz Band, and various chamber ensembles. The success of our band program is due to the hard work of the administration, the parents, the community, the educators, and most importantly, our students.
