Scholastic Book Fair – Fall 2021

Reading for pleasure inside and outside of school has real and long-lasting benefits. It unlocks the power of information and imagination and helps children discover who they are. Here’s what you can do to help children develop stronger reading skills and a love for reading:

• Set the example. Let children see you read.

• Have a collection of books in the home. Update this collection routinely to keep pace with changing tastes and reading skills.

• Support our school’s Book Fair. Allow your children to choose their own books to read.

Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings to school the books kids want to read. It is a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level.

Book Fair dates:        November 10-16, 2021

Preview Day:             Wednesday, November 10 – Preview Day Only Grades 1-5

Shopping Days:         Thursday, Friday, Monday & Tuesday Shopping from 9AM – 3:15PM

Students will visit the Book Fair during their regularly scheduled Library Class and can also visit during their recess hours if they have money to spend.  Please note that this year, with restrictions in place, parents will not be allowed into the building for Book Fair Shopping.  We invite you to visit our online Book Fair at Online Book Fair.  Our online Fair is available from 11/10-11/23.  Books purchased online will be delivered after the closing date.

Remember, all Book Fair proceeds are used to purchase new materials for the library, to fill school-wide technology needs and to fund Reading Incentive programs.

 Please note that we are required to charge 7% PA Sales Tax on all orders – please send your child with extra money to cover the tax.  We accept cash, checks made payable to BWE PFA, or parents can set up an e-Wallet for their children – see attached brochure.
