• Bradford Woods Celebration Book Club
     

    The Bradford Woods Elementary Celebration Book Club allows parents, grandparents or friends to donate a book to the Bradford Woods Library in honor of a special child in their life.  You can donate a book to recognize any memorable event such as a birthday, holiday, tradition, award recognition, extracurricular achievement, to remember a classmate who is moving, or in memory of a loved one.  Books may also be donated to honor your child's teacher or a staff member.

    That site will take you to an Amazon Wish List of books of all topics and reading levels appropriate for Elementary School.  This Wish List has been created by Mrs. Flaherty, the BWE Librarian, based on the needs of the library.  If you have a specific book that you would prefer to donate, please check with Mrs. Flaherty – mflaherty@northallegheny.org.  Please note that the book must be elementary appropriate and hardcover, no paperbacks please. 

    Once you select a book, please put the following information in the comments section - your child's name, homeroom (teacher and section), date you would like the book delivered, and who is donating this book to your child (examples - His Family, Her Parents, etc., or download and complete the Celebration Book Club Form below) and send to school - Attn. Library or email it to Mrs. Flaherty or Ashley Ferenczy (see contact information below).

    If you make arrangements to have the book delivered to the BWE Library at least one week prior to your delivery date, it will be delivered to your child's classroom on the date you specify with a colorful bow!  Please note that Summer birthdays (June- September) may be celebrated at the half-birthday dates.  A bookplate with your child's name will be placed on the inside cover of the book and they will be the first to checkout that book.  After they return the book to the library, the book becomes part of the BWE permanent library collection.  Your child's 'Celebration Balloon' will be in the library window during the month of his or her celebration.  Books donated to honor your child's teacher or a staff member will be delivered to their class or office.
