    Straight line down, then you’re done, that’s the way to make a 1!

     

    2

    Around and back on the railroad track, 2-2, 2-2!

     

    3

    Around a tree, around a tree,

    that’s the way to make a 3.

     

    4

    Down and over, and down once more,  That’s the way to make a 4.

     
    ** We make our five in two steps, adding the line on top last (Please see the poem below).

    Down and around, hat on top and 5’s a clown.

     

    6

    Down with a loop, the 6 makes a hoop.

     

     

    7

    Across the sky and down from heaven, that’s the way to make a 7.

     

    8

    Make an S and do not wait,

    Go back again and that’s an eight.

     

    9

    With a loop, and a line, that’s makes a 9.
