• The summer of 2019 is quickly coming to a close and very soon students will be reporting back to North Allegheny Senior High School to continue their education and acquire skills that will prepare them for post-secondary opportunities.  We look forward to an exciting and rewarding year.     Junior Orientation provides all juniors and students new to NASH to attend a brief program in the NASH Auditorium on Thursday, August 15th at 10:30 AM or on Wednesday, August 21st at 7:00 PM.  Orientation allows students to meet building principals and school counselors while learning about the instructional day, student expectations, and student life.  Students should access their schedule through Tyler on August 13th so they can tour the building and access their lockers.  
     
    In March 2017, the Pennsylvania Department of Education implemented new immunization standards for students in Grades K-12.  Please click HERE for grade specific information.  During the months of July and August, personal phone calls will be made to parents of students who have not yet furnished proper documentation of immunization records.  Students who do not have the proper immunization records will not be permitted to attend school until the proper paperwork is submitted.     North Allegheny Senior High School sponsors Principal/Counseling Coffees for parents who are interested in meeting with the NASH Administrative Team as well as the Counselors to discuss common interests and concerns.  Information about school programs, procedures and activities will be provided.  If you have an interest in participating in these Coffees, you will be receiving emails through Naviance announcing these Coffees and requesting your RSVP to these events.  The Coffees are scheduled in the Ponce Room located in the Baierl Center at 7:00 a.m.  Parking spaces for parents will be reserved in the student parking lot.
      
    NASH students who wish to drive to school can register for driving/parking privileges by purchasing a parking tag at NASH in August prior to the start of school. 
     
    PSAT, SAT, and ACT exam dates are available now. 
     
    PSAT/NMSQT The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) will be offered to juniors during the school day on Wednesday, October 16, 2019.   The test is co-sponsored by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) and is developed and administered for them by Educational Testing Service (ETS).  All assessments include a Reading Test, Writing and Language Test, and a Math Test.  Questions throughout the assessment will focus on the few things that research shows matter most for college readiness and success.  The cost of the exam is $20 and students must register to take the exam by Monday, October 7, 2019.  Checks should be made payable to North Allegheny School District.  Complete registration information can be found by clicking HERE. Seniors will operate on a delayed start and should report to the cafeteria prior to 10:30 a.m.

    Throughout the course of the school year, students will be absent from school.  Use these forms to properly document excused absences.

    Seniors who were unable to schedule a sitting time over the summer must have their Senior Portrait taken by Madia Photography on September 5th.  September 30th is the deadline to have senior portraits selected for the yearbook staff. 
     
    Use an ad to congratulate your senior or junior or even acknowledge a special academic or athletic achievement during the school year. A personal ad in the yearbook allows you to recognize your Tiger with photos and words.
