SPELLING
Students will receive a Spelling Packet for each theme, each containing 4 spelling lessons. Students will copy their weekly spelling list as their Spelling Practice on Monday during class. ALL students will be responsible for 25 spelling words each week, including the 5 Challenge words. Students will be assigned additional worksheets in the Spelling Packet to be completed as Morning Work on Tuesday,Wednesday, and Thursday. Ample time is given for this work to be completed in school. However, in the event that a student does not complete all worksheets during Morning Work, all work is expected to be finished at home. Oral practice of the words is encouraged throughout the week. Additional ideas for studying the words will be provided throughout the year. The weekly test will be given MOST Fridays.
