    Business Apprenticeship 

    The Business Apprenticeship is a one-semester series of four on-site interactive experiences.   Students explore careers in a variety of businesses and industries, are introduced to active businesses and learn about research related to business economics. In the four sessions students experience presentations, discussions, demonstrations, case study problem-solving and on-site tours of local businesses. These are intended to put students in touch with top-level business professionals and introduce them to a variety of hands-on, problem-solving activities.    Students will participate in round-table discussions with local CEO’s and other business leaders. Students receive information about the higher education useful for successful business careers.  All sessions are from 8:30 a.m. until Noon.
     

    The Fear of Public Speaking

    Students will have an opportunity to learn how to conquer fear, the differences in the way men
    and women communicate, the value of understanding both listening skills and non-verbal
    communication and practical ways to organize, develop and present a speech. 
    The end product will be presenting a short informative speech. 
    There is an additional fee of $100 to participate in this program.
