• Winter Olympics Reading Challenge
     
    Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades 
    Monday February 24th - Friday, March 20th
     

     

     
    Dear Parent,  

    The Kindergarten, first and second grade students are excited to start our Winter Olympics Reading Challenge, which will run from Monday, February 24th through Friday, March 20th. Students will earn the chance to win prizes based on which Olympic medal they win. Prizes include:


    • Movie celebration at Hosack during school day

    • Surprise reader visits your classroom!

    • Extra library book check out privileges

    • Hosack Book Fair gift certificate (March 30th through April 3rd)


    Students can log their accomplishments on a Hosack Olympic Reading Challenge form. After each level is complete, students can cut the level from their Hosack Olympic Reading Challenge form and bring to Hosack library.  Their name will then be placed at the bronze, silver or gold medal level on the Olympic Reading Challenge bulletin board in the school lobby.

     

    (For example, students will first bring their completed Bronze Medal level from their form to Hosack Library.  They are then ready to start their tasks for the Silver Medal.)
