Welcome to Kindergarten!!!  My name is Kristen Burcham and I am so excited to be your child's kindergarten teacher. Last year I had the opportunity to teach Kindergarten for the North Allegheny Cyber Academy!  I learned so much, and feel so thankful to have gone through such an experience in my career.  Before taking on cyber Kindergarten, you could find me teaching at Hosack Elementary School.  Prior to teaching at Hosack, I was the Autistic Support teacher at Marshall Elementary School for 7 years.  I have my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and my master's degree in Special Education.  I have had many wonderful experiences during my career at North Allegheny, which I believe have helped me get to this point.  I truly have a passion for working with young learners and helping them discover their potential! 

When I am not teaching you can find me in Zelienople with my family.  I have sent 3, very different children off to kindergarten over the past years.  I understand all the feelings that come with sending your babies off to school.  I want you to feel like you can come to me with any question or concern, as I truly feel that this is a team approach.  It takes a village to raise a child, and I am lucky enough to be in your child's village.  I want what is best for your child and will work very hard to inspire a deep love of learning from the start!
