First Grade Supply List
General Supplies
- 1 One inch 3 ring binder (Any color, but please be sure that it has the clear pocket on the front and back to slide the cover in - see picture below)
- 5 Plastic folders with 2 pockets and 3 hole punch
- Preferable colors - Red, orange, yellow, green, and blue
- They can be found at most stores. However, Target and Walmart had the cheapest prices - both in store and online
- Please no prongs
- 10-12 Sharpened pencils
- 2 Pink erasers
- Highlighters (2 different colors)
- 6 Glue sticks (small size glue sticks)
- 24 Pack of crayons*
- Sharpened colored pencils*
- Non-permanent markers*
- 1 Stylus (any style)
- 1 Fine tip black Sharpie
- 4 EXPO dry erase markers
- 1 Two-pocket folder (any style)
- Scissors
- Earbuds or headphones (Put name on piece of tape on cord or headphone ear. I have found that some students have a hard time with earbuds staying in and cords tangling, so whatever they prefer is fine!)
- Water bottle (Please label with your child’s name)
- 2 boxes of tissues for classroom
Optional Supplies
- Small pencil sharpener
- Face Masks (multiple for back ups)
- Face Mask Lanyard or Clip Regular Lanyard (see picture for example)
- Travel size hand sanitizer (at least 60% alcohol)
*Please empty crayons, colored pencils, and markers into separate Ziploc baggies labeled with your child’s name. You do not have to label the individual items. Do not send any pencil boxes (there will not be space)! We will empty all supplies into clear bins that are provided by the teacher.
Voluntary Items Needed for Our Classroom
We go through a lot of the following items. If you are able to donate any of them, the class would appreciate it!
- Kleenex
- Ziplock Baggies (Gallon, quarts, and sandwich)
- Compostable Clorox Wipes (Must say child safe)
- Hand Sanitizer
- Paper Plates (Large)
