The North Allegheny School District Board of School Directors is comprised of nine well-educated, highly committed, and experienced individuals whose determination to deliver outstanding educational opportunities to our children is second to none.

Richard McClure, President
Term Began: December 2015
Term Expires: December 2025Rick McClure grew up in Ross Township and graduated from North Hills High School. He has an undergraduate degree from Geneva College.
Mr. McClure is President of Pennsylvania Commercial Management Services and Director of Property Management for Pennsylvania Commercial Real Estate. He has 30 years of experience in the property and facility management business. He has earned the designation of Certified Property Manager, Pennsylvania Certified Appraiser, and is Broker of Record at Pennsylvania Commercial Management Services.
Mr. McClure and his family reside in Franklin Park Borough.
Libby Blackburn, Vice President
Term Began: December 2011
Term Expires: December 2023Libby Blackburn grew up in McCandless, attended North Allegheny, and furthered her education by earning a degree from Kenyon College. She is now retired after working over 27 years for American Airlines.
Marcie Crow grew up in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, graduating from Gateway High School in 1990. She graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Masters of Education K-12. Mrs. Crow has principal certifications in both elementary and secondary education. She also holds teaching certifications in English and Multi-Genre Writing from Oxford University.
Mrs. Crow has been an educator in Pennsylvania’s Public School System since 1994. She has been a middle school teacher and assistant principal in the Gateway School District, where she currently teaches fifth grade ELA.
Mrs. Crow and her family reside in McCandless.
Leslie Britton Dozier

Term Expires: December 2025Leslie Britton Dozier has been a corporate lawyer for over 21 years. She is currently Senior Assistant General Counsel and Head of Contract Management Operations at a life sciences company. Prior to her legal career, she held positions in the private, non-profit, and government sectors. Ms. Britton Dozier has held director and officer roles on various non-profit boards, and most recently serves on the boards of Vibrant Pittsburgh, the Legal Fund for the Women’s Shelter and Center of Greater Pittsburgh, and FAME (Fund for Advancement of Minorities Through Education).
Ms. Britton Dozier is a graduate of The Lincoln University, with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. She earned her Master of Science degree in Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University and her Juris Doctor at Duquesne University School of Law.
A Pittsburgh native, Ms. Britton Dozier moved to this area in 2010. She and her family currently reside in McCandless Township.
Paige Hardy grew up in Colorado and graduated from Grand Junction High School. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a Master of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Melbourne, in Melbourne, Australia.
After graduate school Paige worked as a researcher and data analyst for 10 years at institutions including the Boston Public Health Commission, Boston Medical Center, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and Case Western Reserve University. In 2016 when she and her family moved to Marshall, she started volunteering in North Allegheny schools. Since then, Paige has served on Marshall Elementary’s PFA executive board and multiple North Allegheny parent advisory committees.
Ms. Hardy and her family reside in Marshall Township.
Kevin Mahler grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Kittatinny Regional High School. He has an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
Mr. Mahler is a Research Director for Schmidt Market Research and has earned the Professional Researcher Certification from the Marketing Research Association. He also teaches Marketing at the University of Pittsburgh Katz School of Business.
Mr. Mahler and his family reside in McCandless Township.
Dr. Vidya Szymkowiak

Term Expires: December 2025Vidya Szymkowiak is a proud 1990 North Allegheny graduate. She resides in Franklin Park with her husband and two sons.
After graduating with degrees in chemical engineering and chemistry from Penn State University, Vidya subsequently attended the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a medical degree. She is a practicing internal medicine/primary care physician.
A strong commitment to community engagement and volunteerism has led Vidya to donate her time and effort to several local and school organizations including the NASH musical and IFPAA, often in leadership roles. Vidya is a passionate supporter of the arts and serves on the Pittsburgh Dance Council.
As a first-generation immigrant, Vidya credits her educational, cultural, and social experience at North Allegheny for much of her future success. Her sincere hope as a board member is to preserve and promote North Allegheny’s tradition of educational excellence and cultural diversity.
Elizabeth M. J. Warner
Term Began: December 2019
Term Expires: December 2023Elizabeth M. J. Warner grew up in Connecticut and Michigan, graduating from Bloomfield Hills Lahser High School. She graduated with university honors from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Civil Engineering and Engineering and Public Policy. She earned a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
Following graduate school, Mrs. Warner worked as an Air Quality Engineer for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. In 2009, she started volunteering in North Allegheny schools and since then has served on her PTA’s executive board and multiple North Allegheny advisory committees.
Mrs. Warner and her family reside in McCandless.
Shannon Yeakel grew up in Franklin Park and graduated from North Allegheny in 1997. She has an undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Regional Planning and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
Shannon is the Director of Real Estate Development and Sustainability for DICK’S Sporting Goods. Her primary responsibilities include site qualification and negotiating leases of all stores throughout the Country, along with working on sustainability initiatives for the company. Prior to DICK’S, Shannon worked as the Director of Planning and Community Development for the Township of Upper St. Clair, where she represented the Township on various boards. She has served on Pine Township Planning Commission and volunteers for the Ingomar Elementary PTO and Pittsburgh Marathon.
Shannon and her family reside in McCandless.
