I graduated from Washington and Jefferson College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development and Education, dually certified in Elementary and Special Education. I began my teaching career in the fall of 2011 at the Greensburg Salem School District, where I served as a Learning Support teacher for four years.
I began teaching at the North Allegheny School District during the 2015-2016 school year as a Learning Support Teacher at Ingomar and McKnight Elementary Schools. During the 2016-2017 school year I served as a Learning Support teacher at Ingomar Elementary School, and a GOAL teacher at Marshall Elementary. I then began my role as an MTSS interventionist at McKnight Elementary during the 2017-2018 school year and continue to do so at the present!
I am so excited an honored to continue my journey as an MTSS Interventionist at McKnight where I support students and classroom teachers during WIN (What I Need) period and Math. I collect and analyze data in order to provide strategies and interventions for remediation, reinforcement, and enrichment. Additionally, I am an active participant in all grade level meetings and lead our well-check process.
I spend time getting to know your children so that I may learn the strengths they possess, as well their individual needs that we must target to ensure that they may achieve their goals. As one of your child’s teachers, I hope to maintain an open line of communication with you throughout the school year so that we can work together as your child’s strongest advocates for success. In order to do this, I plan on entering their classrooms to provide support in an inclusion setting, as well as working with them outside of their classroom for a more one-on-one or small group instructional experience.
I am happy to address any questions, comments, or concerns you may have! I look forward to working with you.
