    Biography:

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Asian Studies from Lehigh University. While earning my B.A. I spent a year studying abroad. During that time I lived with a Japanese family and studied in Tokyo, Japan. Upon graduating from Lehigh, I went on to teach English in Japan. I was stationed in Fukushima-shi (City), Fukushima-ken.

After returning to America I earned my M.A.T in Elementary Education from Chatham University. I later earned certification as an English as a Second Language Program Specialist. As well, I hold certification in Middle School Math and English as well as High School English.

As a second language learner myself, I sincerely understand the difficulties and unique needs of students whose first language is not English. I am also truly excited to continue to learn about new places and cultures every day!
