    First Grade: 

    *You may do this work whenever it is convenient for you throughout the week - I have split it into days to help guide you, but you can adjust the work schedule to fit your family's needs! 

    **Work for anytime this week: Go to Ms. Tutino’s Epic class & read the assigned story, Summer is Fun!– be sure to complete the quiz at the end of the story (4 points)! Also, go to www.readworks.org  & join our class (code = WQE4JN ) – – Read/listen to “Splash into Summer!”. Take your time and read the “vocabulary” tab- the words are “guard”, “prevent”, and “protect”. Then, do the 5 quizzes (comprehension, author’s purpose and 3 vocabulary). Be sure to use complete sentences when doing the written responses. – 42 points!!

    Monday – 6/1 – Math day – Read on Epic, work on Headsprout, and/or do a lesson on www.imaginelearning.com  

    Tuesday – 6/2 – ELA day—Reread “For Pete’s Sake on textbook page 8. Then, add at least 3 phrases to each section of the Venn diagram on practice book page 5.7. So, you will have 9 phrases (3 entries x 3 sections = 9 ideas) **9 points

          - Read on Epic or www.readworks.org and/or work on your Headsprout (go to self-serve & download the reading a-z app) for Ms. Tutino if you would like. PLEASE use your imagine learning account!! You will probably need to use it on a desktop or laptop computer. You should do 20 minutes 3-5 times a week on it!

    Wednesday – 6/3 – math day – Read on Epic or www.readworks.org and/or work on your Headsprout (go to self-service & download the reading a-z app if you need to, it will take you to Headsprout) for Ms. Tutino if you would like. Please use your account at www.imaginelearning.com ! You should do 20 minutes on it 3-5 times a week!

    Thursday – 6/4 – ELA day – Read/listen to the story “Alligators” on textbook page 33 and then add at least 3 ideas to each side of the T-chart on practice book page 5.9. Please edit and save your copy of the T-chart on “Your Work” on Google Classroom—don’t forget to turn it in!  **6 points

    Friday -  6/5 – Math day – Read on Epic or www.readworks.org and/or work on your Headsprout (go to self-service & download the reading a-z app if you need to, it will take you to Headsprout) for Ms. Tutino if you would like.  Please use your account at www.imaginelearning.com ! You should do 20 minutes on it 3-5 times a week!

         

     

     

    Level C Homework (2nd grade)

    Thursday – 6/4 – ELA day – Read/listen to the story “Day and Night” on textbook page 291 and then go to Flipgrid and make a video telling about one of the cycles in nature that you learned about. Draw pictures. Explain your pictures to the class—you should include at least 5 facts that you learned about the cycle. Your video should be at least one minute long—add details to your facts!!  **10 points

    Friday -  6/5 – Math day – Read on Epic or www.readworks.org and/or work on your Headsprout (go to self-service & download the reading a-z app if you need to, it will take you to Headsprout) for Ms. Tutino if you would like.  Please use your account at www.imaginelearning.com ! Next, go to readworks.org & join our class (3rd grade code = VS76EN / 4th & 5th grade code = L5W3G2 ) – Read/listen to “A Sudden Slice of Summer”. Click on the “vocabulary” tab and study the words (determined, refuse). Then, do all 3 question sets (1 comprehension & 2 vocabulary)- be sure to use complete sentences for the written responses – 31 points!!

    Monday – 6/1 – Math day – Read on Epic, work on Headsprout and/or do a lesson on www.imaginelearning.com
