Biography:
Emily Torchia, M.A., CCC-SLP, completed her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Penn State University. She completed her masters degree at Ohio State in Speech-Language Pathology, but remains true to her Penn State alma mater! She is excited to be working at North Allegheny School District!
According to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), a Speech-Language Pathologist is a professional who has been trained to prevent, screen, identify, assess, diagnose, refer, provide intervention for, and counsel persons with, or who are at risk, for articulation, fluency, voice, language, communication, swallowing, and related disabilities.
