"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not." ~ The Lorax by Dr. Seuss
I began my career teaching second grade in a self-contained classroom at Luther Low Elementary School. After two years in second grade, I moved to fifth grade to teach departmentalized math at Oakview Elementary School. My husband and I moved to the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh shortly after getting married, and I began teaching fifth grade math in the Plum Borough School District. I spent nine years teaching fifth grade at Pivik Elementary School and Regency Park Elementary School. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work with students in many capacities, including majorette advisor, STEAM Club sponsor, Maker Business founder, and Battle of the Books sponsor. My background in technology is classroom based, as I spent 13 years of my career as a classroom teacher. I can't wait to get started!
