Welcome to McKnight Elementary School - "A Big School with a Bigger Heart!" We are a K-5 building of approximately 750 students set between the business corridor of McKnight Road and the neighborhood of McCandless. We pride ourselves in giving students opportunities to grow academically and socially while providing supports to families.

Our school theme this year is, “Coming Back Stronger.” Our book, After the Fall: How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again, by Dan Santat shows what it means to find resiliency and perseverance in the wake of our challenges.  It is especially meaningful considering the changes we’ve all experienced over the past year at McKnight and in the world.

We look forward to a productive year full of many enriching learning opportunities and great memories.

Our fully renovated school features a full size gymnasium, a state of the art library, a maker space,  dedicated art and music classrooms (including strings and band), new playgorunds, and a Nature Trail.  We take great pride in our arts as a vehicle for students to display their growth.
