North Allegheny School District

The North Allegheny School District recycling efforts include the recycling of cardboard, paper, plastic bottles, and metal cans. The District’s refuse and recycling contractor, Waste Management, allows the District to collect all of these materials in a single container, which streamlines NA’s collection and handling of these materials. 

The Facilities Department has provided the containers for the collection of these materials in classrooms, libraries, cafeterias, copy rooms and most common areas. The District has also placed recycling containers at the Baierl Center and Newman Stadium to be used during the activities that take place at these sites.

Containers will be clearly marked with the universal recycling symbol that is a triangle formed by three arrows.  Staff, students and visitors are encouraged to support NA’s efforts to be responsible citizens of today and tomorrow by disposing appropriately of materials that are no longer being used. .
