    There is Always a Reason to Smile in First Grade!
     
    My name is Carley Tudi and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher for the 2021-2022 school year.I hope that you have had a summer filled with lots smiles and know that our year together will be a very special time. I am very excited to say that this is my tenth year teaching in the North Allegheny School District. For the past nine years I taught first grade at McKnight Elementary as well and I am a bit bias as I say that there is nothing quite like first grade :). I graduated from Duquesne University with my B.S.ed in Elementary Education. Before teaching at McKnight, I had the wonderful experience of observing and teaching in the Peters Township School District, Chartiers Valley School District, and the Pittsburgh Public School District. However, there is no place like McKnight and I am looking forward to making new memories with all of my kiddos and their families this year.
     
    This is an exciting time for students and parents as first grade brings many new beginnings. Working together, we can make the transition to a full day of school a smooth one. Teaching is my passion and I am committed to help all students succeed and reach their potential. Each day I strive to inspire all students to take on challenges and always do their best. I take pride in fostering a positive learning environment that is safe and nuturing. My goal is to build a classroom community of excited, happy, successful, confident, respectful, and life-long learners. I can't wait to start learning with you soon!
